Information for Reception Parents and Transition Sessions

Dear Parents and Carers,

 

On behalf of ourselves, the Palladian Academy Trust, the staff, and governors, it gives us great pleasure to welcome you and your family to our school community.

We are very much looking forward to getting to know you and over the next few months, you and your child will feel familiar with the school building and many of the adults who will be working with the children.

We will be holding an information session for parents on Thursday 11th June 2026 at 6pm. This will take place in the school hall. Both current parents at the school and new parents are encouraged to join us for this session. If you do have any specific questions that you would like answered, then please email these through to the school office by 12pm Friday 5th June so we can tailor our presentation to meet your needs. Our ‘Get Ready for School’ sessions will begin soon, and these will provide an opportunity for your child to get to know other children who are starting school here. Please try to send your child to as many of these sessions as possible, although we do recognise that it may not be possible for you to attend them all.

Your child will be invited to four settling in sessions, please see the dates below. Your allocated group is in your welcome letter which has been emailed to you personally.

 

Wednesday 17th June 2026 - Teddy Bears Tea Party

Please bring your lunch and Teddy along and join us in the school playground from 9:30-10:20am for a tea party. (Weather dependent) This will be an ideal opportunity for you and your child to meet our Reception team as well as meeting other children and parents who are also joining the school.

* Please note that on the classroom visit days parents will not be able to accompany children to their classroom. Children will be met by the class teacher in the school playground.

Our school information platform is called Arbor. Login details will be sent out in due course. Once you have access, you will be able to add and update both student and parent information through the system.
