Theme Weeks - World Cup Awareness Week 12th - 16th June 2006

During the week we aimed to increase the children's awareness of other cultures and to see that the World Cup offers the chance for the nations competing to get to know each other better.

We also looked at issues of sportsmanship and the importance of taking part and doing your best. We wanted the children to try and understand that there will be winners and losers and think about how it feels to be in different situations.

We planned a range of activities linking maths and other cultures.
