Trip To Corston Fields Farm - September 2007Years 1 and 2 visited Corston Fields Farm as part of the Year of Food and Farming which started this month.
The children had a wonderful day trying out lots of different activities and getting to know more about where their food comes from.
Activities included ploughing the modern way and by hand, watching a combine harvester at work, learning about seeds and growth and what soil is like. We all enjoyed a trailer ride around the farm too. We hope that this will be just the beginning of a partnership with the farm so that we can continue to learn even more about this and other types of farm.
