Year 2 School Helper Elections

Back
13 October 2019

This week we held our Y2 School Helper Elections. The children who wanted to be considered brought in their speeches. Many of the children also made stickers (which we spent a long time giving out!), rosettes, banners, bunting, balloons, signs and posters. There was a fantastic array of promotional material. The afternoon was very well attended and the children were very respectful of each other while they spoke. All the adults watching were very impressed by the range of ideas and how well the children spoke and listened to each other.

During the voting process the children used a huge amount of Ruby Power by voting for others and being pleased at others’ success (even if they lost).

It was very close and now the new School Helpers are Eva and Jacob in Squirrel Class and Gracie-Mae and Stanley in Rabbit Class.
